Youth Education and Development Association (YEDA)
Delivering remedies by utilizing our combined experience and knowledge to address the issues our communities face.
ABOUT YEDA AFRICA
YEDA was founded on June 30, 2014, by elite African refugees in kakuma, northern Kenya, after observing and experiencing many of the hardships that indigenous peoples and refugees face. The founders were a group of organized kakuma refugee community members who came together to find quick solutions to emerging problems.
Our main objective is to support the refugees and Child ,vulnerable women and youth in order to reduce chances of poverty, through education, health support, sports and mitigate the impact of HIV/AIDS to the poor communities, Healing and Rebuilding our Communities,to build peace and engage and train youth to lessen higher livelihood, early marriage and skills for life.
We have listened to our fellow refugees as they shared their painful experiences and needs. We believe that any long-term solution to a social or economic problem necessitates the empowerment of those affected. We seek to awaken everyone’s innate capacity for self-development, while also opening ourselves to all available twenty-first-century knowledge and wisdom, acknowledging that we have much to learn from and much to teach the rest of the world.
